Samsung continues to glean new information about the Galaxy Z Fold 5, the new foldable smartphone model they are strenuously working on.

A fresh rumor is circulating about the Galaxy Z Fold 5!

Last month, news circulated suggesting that Samsung's forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 might come with IP58-rated dust and water resistance. However, this assertion has been contradicted by the credible leaker Ice Universe, well-known for Samsung-related leaks, stating that the Z Fold 5 does not carry an IP58 rating.

It now appears probable that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will retain the IPX8 water resistance rating present in its antecedent models. According to an additional tweet from the same leaker, the Z Fold 5 will also have a display crease similar to that on the inner foldable screen of the Z Fold 4.

This statement counters earlier reports that suggested Samsung had developed a new waterdrop hinge to minimize the display crease. According to the tipster, the crease on the Z Fold 5 will be practically identical to that on the Z Fold 4.

A fresh rumor is circulating about the Galaxy Z Fold 5!

Details about the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 have begun to emerge, although they remain unconfirmed. The device is rumored to feature a 7.6-inch inner foldable display and a 6.2-inch outer display. Both are expected to be AMOLED panels supporting a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is likely to be shipped with the One UI 5.1.1-based Android 13 OS pre-installed. For security purposes, a side-facing fingerprint sensor is anticipated.

Under the hood, the Z Fold 5 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset, clocking in at 3.36GHz. It is supposed to come with 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It may house a 4,400mAh battery and support 25W fast charging along with 15W wireless charging.

In terms of optics, the device is rumored to have a 10-megapixel front-facing camera and a 4-megapixel under-screen camera on the inside. The rear camera setup is likely to include an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera.
