Samsung has always been at the forefront when it comes to software support for its Galaxy series. The company’s relentless efforts in upgrading its software department have made it a leader in post-purchase support. Later this year, several Samsung devices are set to receive their final major update with Android 14-based One UI 6.

While Android 14 hasn't been officially rolled out for Samsung devices, we have information on which handsets will be staying on One UI 6. Samsung's software update policy is transparent, leaving no room for ambiguity regarding device eligibility.

The Galaxy S21 series, which was initially eligible for major updates up to Android 14, is in for a pleasant surprise. Contrary to expectations, the upcoming Android 14 won't be the final OS upgrade for this series. This also holds true for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3.

Having launched with Android 12, the S21 FE is in line to receive updates until Android 16, thanks to a revised 2022 policy. Flagship models introduced post the S21 series are slated to get four OS upgrades. However, various phones from the Galaxy A, M, and F series will remain capped at Android 14.

Devices from the Galaxy A series, eligible for three OS upgrades, will see their update cycle culminate with Android 14. On the other hand, several mid-tier and budget-friendly models from the Galaxy M and F series will receive only two major upgrades.

Concluding, Android 14-based One UI 6 will mark the last significant update for the following Samsung devices:

Galaxy A72
Galaxy A52 (including A52 5G and A52s)
Galaxy A23
Galaxy A13
Galaxy M53 5G
Galaxy M33 5G
Galaxy M23
Galaxy M13
Galaxy F23
Galaxy F13.
