The July 2023 security patch from Samsung remedies 90 security flaws in Galaxy devices, which includes 52 fixes contributed by Google and 38 developed by Samsung, known as SVEs. These vulnerabilities range from critical to high-priority and moderate risks, with three considered critical and 56 high-priority. Notably, three fixes that Samsung had already included in the June patch are now integrated into the July patch by Google. The vulnerabilities cover various areas such as manual package installation, audio system access control, UWB chipset identifier, broadcast SMS configuration, Galaxy Themes Service, Settings, and internal testing functions, potentially exposing the devices to unauthorized code execution.

Launched in 2020, the Galaxy S20 series consists of the S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra models. The S20 and S20+ feature 6.2-inch and 6.7-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O displays respectively, both with a 120Hz refresh rate. These models are powered by either Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 990 processors, feature triple rear cameras, and have 8K video shooting capabilities. They also offer IP68 water and dust resistance, and are backed by 4,000mAh and 4,500mAh batteries respectively. The premium S20 Ultra variant comes with a substantial 6.97-inch display, a 108-megapixel main camera, and a powerful 5,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging.
