Vivo recently made waves with the launch of the Y200 and Y55t. Now, another addition to the Y series, the Vivo Y100, is gearing up for its grand reveal. Official teasers for this model have already provided insights into some key specifications.

The company took to its official Weibo account to share a glimpse of the Y100. Impressively, the device is said to be powered by a hefty 5,000mAh battery. While one might expect a device with such battery capacity to be bulky, Vivo has managed to keep the Y100's design sleek, measuring just 7.49mm in thickness and weighing in at 181 grams. The smartphone's camera specifications have also sparked interest, as the rear dual-camera setup boasts a 64-megapixel primary sensor, complete with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).

In terms of performance, the Vivo Y100 is expected to offer up to 12GB of RAM and a substantial 512GB of internal storage. Notably, the device's memory can be virtually expanded by an additional 12GB. One of the device's key attractions is its tall curved AMOLED display, which, according to a teaser, will provide users with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.

However, there's an interesting twist. The Chinese variant of the Vivo Y100 appears to differ from its Indian counterpart, despite bearing the same name. The Indian version, for reference, featured a flat 6.38-inch AMOLED panel and was powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC. The official announcement for the Chinese Y100 variant is eagerly awaited and is scheduled for 27th October 2023 at 2:30 pm CST.
