After months of anticipation and speculation, Google has finally made its grand entry into the world of foldable smartphones. The tech giant unveiled its highly awaited foldable device, introducing the Google Pixel Fold, which promises to revolutionize the way we interact with our mobile devices.

Google Pixel Fold specifications

Let's delve into the design of the highly anticipated Pixel Fold. The device boasts a compact form factor with a rear design resembling the Pixel 7 Pro. Its glossy glass back panel is accompanied by a prominent camera bar, although it doesn't extend to the edges and creates a noticeable bump. On the front, you'll find symmetrical bezels housing the front camera, which are slightly thick but evenly proportioned. Notably, the Pixel Fold employs a new teardrop hinge mechanism, strategically implemented to minimize the visible display crease and enhance user experience.

Shifting our focus to the specifications, the Pixel Fold presents a 5.8-inch 120Hz OLED cover screen with a resolution of 2092×1080 pixels. Unfolded, it reveals a 7.6-inch OLED foldable display offering a resolution of 2208×1840 pixels. Powering the device is Google's in-house Tensor G2 chipset, similar to the latest Pixel 7 series, accompanied by 12GB of RAM. Users can choose between 256GB or 512GB of UFS3.1 internal memory to cater to their storage needs.

In terms of photography, the Pixel Fold impresses with its camera setup. It boasts a 48MP f/1.7 primary camera, a 10.8MP f/3.05 5x zoom telephoto camera, a 10.8MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera with an expansive 121.1-degree field of view, and a 9.5MP f/2.2 outer selfie shooter. Additionally, there's an 8MP f/2.0 inner selfie camera to capture your self-portraits. Keeping the device powered throughout the day is a generous 4,821mAh battery, offering ample capacity compared to competing models. The Pixel Fold supports both wired and wireless charging, adding to its convenience and versatility.
