Huawei's recent launch of the official beta for HarmonyOS 4 in China saw an impressive uptake, with over 5 million devices embracing the update within a mere two weeks; while currently limited to a handful of phones, Huawei is actively enhancing the beta version for broader device compatibility, with the HarmonyOS 4 beta update already rolling out for the Huawei nova 8 series and certain tablets.

The upcoming HarmonyOS 4 update will introduce new visual elements and interactive experiences. Users will be able to personalize their devices further, setting their favorite emojis as wallpapers and customizing app icons to align with their device's layout. The update will also introduce a Parental Control system, enabling users to monitor their child's device activity using a Huawei ID.

Moreover, notifications from the same app will be intelligently grouped, streamlining the user experience by providing more comprehensive details without requiring users to open each notification individually.
