Honor, a prominent player in the competitive smartphone market, continues to make strides with its innovative launches. After unveiling the Honor Play 7T series earlier this year and subsequently the Honor Play 8 in July, it is gearing up to introduce the Honor Play 8T series to the technology enthusiasts.

The upcoming Honor Play 8T Pro has recently caught attention by surfacing on China's TENAA database, revealing some insightful details about its specifications. Noteworthy among these is the inclusion of a 6.7-inch IPS LCD display featuring Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Interestingly, these display specifications mirror those of its predecessor, the Honor Play 7T Pro.

Delving into the internals, the Honor Play 8T Pro will be equipped with an octa-core chipset, boasting a 2.4GHz clock speed. In a departure from its predecessor, the smartphone will be offered in a variety of RAM and storage configurations, giving consumers the flexibility to choose from 6/8/12/16 GB RAM and 128/256/512GB/1 TB Storage variants.

When it comes to camera capabilities, the device is set to feature a dual-rear camera module, with a high-resolution 108MP primary sensor complemented by a 2MP secondary camera. Moreover, an 8MP front-facing camera will cater to selfie aficionados and facilitate video calling.

In terms of power management, a noteworthy alteration has been made. The Honor Play 8T Pro will house a 4500 mAh battery, which is an upgrade in capacity from the 4000mAh battery found in the Honor Play 7T Pro. However, it does reduce the charging speed to 35W, a slight decrease from its predecessor's 40W fast charging capability.

The device will operate on Android 13 and will feature Honor's Magic OS 7.2 skin, providing a refined user interface. The smartphone is expected to make its debut in China later this month, possibly revealing further details and nuances about its features.

It’s worth noting that the upcoming release might not be entirely novel. The Honor Play 7T Pro itself was a rebranded version of the Honor X40i, which launched in July 2022, suggesting that the company might be following a similar strategy with the Honor Play 8T Pro.
