The Bluetooth SIG certification process has unveiled that Huawei has secured certification for five new phones - the ADA-AN00, PSD-AN00, ADA-TN00, BLK-AN00, and BLK-TN00. Their identifiers suggest 5G connectivity, indicated by the AN and TN suffixes, and while details are limited, it's confirmed that these devices support Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.

Additionally, the certification reveals plans for the Huawei nova 13, nova 14, nova 15, and nova 16 series devices, each coming in vanilla, Pro, and Ultra versions, all boasting 5G capabilities.

In an industry development, Huawei has reportedly partnered with Chinese foundry SMIC to create 5G chipsets using the N+1 manufacturing process, combined with Huawei's electronic design automation (EDA) software tools.

Despite projected chip yields of less than 50%, an estimated initial production of 2 to 4 million 5G chipset units is anticipated. Huawei aims to launch its first 5G phones featuring these new chipsets later this year, possibly as part of the Mate 60 series.
