OnePlus is gearing up to unveil the OnePlus Ace 3 on January 4th in China. In preparation for the launch, the company has released several teasers, showcasing the design and color variants of the device. These teasers have sparked significant interest, revealing a sleek design that promises to appeal to a broad audience.

The OnePlus Ace 3 will feature a 6.78-inch OLED panel supplied by BOE. This marks a slight shift from the 2K resolution display of the OnePlus 12, as the Ace 3 will sport a marginally lower 1.5K resolution. Despite this change, the rest of the screen's attributes mirror those of the OnePlus 12. The display will boast an X1-series 8T LTPO panel equipped with a P1 display chip. The manual peak brightness is set at 800 nits, with a global peak brightness of 1,600 nits and a maximum brightness of up to 4,500 nits. Furthermore, the screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, enhancing the visual experience with smoother motion. The punch-hole display, featuring curved edges similar to the OP12, adds to the aesthetic appeal.

For photography enthusiasts, the Ace 3 is likely to feature a versatile camera setup. This includes a 16-megapixel front camera and a triple camera unit on the rear, consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor (IMX890 with OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The device is expected to run on the ColorOS 14-based Android 14, providing a seamless and intuitive user interface.

The OnePlus Ace 3 is poised to compete with notable devices in the Chinese market, such as the Redmi K70, Honor 90 GT, and iQOO Neo 9. As for its international availability, the Ace 3 will be rebranded as the OnePlus 12R in markets like India, North America, and Europe. The 12R will be available in Iron Gray and Cool Blue shades, while the Ace 3 in China will come in Sand Gold, Star Black, and Moon Sea Blue.
