On New Year's Eve, the Redmi 12C was launched in China as a budget-friendly smartphone with impressive features for its price range, including a large display, a powerful battery, and a capable chipset.

While there is no official confirmation about its global release, a reliable source claims that the phone could be launched outside of China as early as next week. The pricing and specifications of the phone have also been leaked.

According to a trustworthy source named Paras Guglani, the Redmi 12C is scheduled to be released globally on February 26, which is the same date as the launch of the Xiaomi 13 series. The phone is expected to come in three colors: Ocean Blue, Mint Green, and Graphite Gray.

The device will reportedly be available in two storage configurations, with the base model offering 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and the higher-end version featuring 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

A recent report from Appuals has revealed that the base model of the Redmi 12C will be priced at €170, while the higher-end variant may cost €200 in Europe, although the final price may vary depending on the country and applicable taxes.

The report also suggests that the global version of the phone will have the same specifications as the Chinese model, including a 6.71-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1650 pixels, 500 nits brightness, and a 20.6:9 aspect ratio.

The phone is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 ROM. The rear camera may have a 50-megapixel resolution, while the front camera could be a 5-megapixel shooter. The phone is likely to feature a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging.
