Qualcomm is gearing up to unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 at the upcoming 2023 Snapdragon Summit in October, ushering in a wave of flagship devices from leading Chinese smartphone manufacturers.

Among these devices, the Redmi K70 Pro is anticipated to feature the powerful SD8G3 chip, part of Qualcomm's latest offering. A leak earlier this month by Digital Chat Station hinted at the K70 series, consisting of devices codenamed Ingress, Vermeer, and Manet, which are expected to debut in the Chinese market as the Redmi K70e, Redmi K70, and Redmi K70 Pro in December this year.

Turning our attention to the recent Geekbench 6 listing, the Redmi K70 Pro made an appearance, showcasing the presence of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, even though it wasn't explicitly named. Details from the listing confirm the device's use of this chipset, which will be paired with a substantial 16 GB of RAM and the upcoming Android 14, possibly running atop MIUI 14. In benchmark tests, the device demonstrated impressive performance, scoring 1100 points in the single-core test and 5150 points in the multi-core test.

As for its hardware features, rumors suggest the Redmi K70 Pro will sport a flat OLED display with a 2K resolution and a high 120Hz refresh rate, complemented by an in-screen fingerprint scanner. It's expected to offer up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage and be powered by a substantial 5,500mAh battery that supports blazing-fast 120W charging. On the camera front, the device is likely to feature a 50-megapixel main camera (Sony IMX707 with OIS), an ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto camera offering 3.2x zoom. However, wireless charging support might be absent.

Notably, in August, there was a misleading listing on Geekbench claiming the Redmi K70 Pro featured a Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset. This listing has since been debunked and should not be considered accurate.
