Xiaomi's latest event in China brought forth a wave of new devices, including the next-generation Redmi Note series, a new tablet, TWS earphones, and more. The Redmi Note 13 lineup includes standard, pro, and pro+ variants, all serving as successors to last year's Redmi Note 12 series. Among them, the Note 13 Pro+ stands out with substantial upgrades, and it introduces several first-of-its-kind features in the display department for the Redmi Note lineup. Let's delve into the details.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ makes history as the first device in the sub-brand's Note lineup to sport a curved AMOLED display, measuring 6.67 inches. The screen features a center-aligned punch-hole cutout and boasts an impressive 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. Additionally, it supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Notably, this smartphone is also the first in the Note family to feature a fingerprint scanner integrated into the display.

Design-wise, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ opts for a more traditional camera layout, foregoing the camera island seen on previous models. Instead, it offers a rear panel with a faux leather texture and a dual-tone design. Moreover, it boasts an IP68 certification for dust and water resistance.

When it comes to photography, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is equipped with an impressive 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 1/1.4-inch sensor. It also includes an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP third camera. The device supports both OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization). It can capture images at up to three different focal lengths with an in-sensor zoom and offers 4x optical lossless zoom. On the front, the smartphone features a 16MP selfie camera.

Under the hood, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra processor. It's available in configurations with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Keeping the device running is a robust 5,000mAh battery with support for ultra-fast 120W charging. It comes with MIUI 14 out of the box, based on Android 13. The device offers a comprehensive array of connectivity options, including USB-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an IR Blaster, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and more.

The starting price for the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is CNY 1,999 ($273) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. The 12GB + 512GB and 16GB + 512GB configurations are priced at CNY 2,199 ($300) and CNY 2,299 ($314) respectively. Sales are set to commence on September 26.
