The Samsung Galaxy A55, expected to be the next iteration in Samsung's Galaxy A-series smartphones, has recently been the subject of attention due to CAD-based leaked renders. These images suggest the Galaxy A55 could be introduced as the successor to the Galaxy A54, which was announced in March this year.

The leaked renders of the Galaxy A55 showcase a boxy form factor, a design approach that seems to be becoming a staple for the upcoming Galaxy A-series, as evidenced by its presence in the Galaxy A35 and A15 models. The right frame of the device shows a noticeable protrusion where the power and volume rocker buttons are situated. The back panel features a triple rear camera setup, arranged vertically.

Further details from the renders indicate the presence of a USB-C port and a speaker grille at the bottom of the Galaxy A55, and a SIM card tray on the top edge. Interestingly, the renders do not show a 3.5mm jack. The smartphone is expected to sport a 6.5-inch center-aligned punch-hole cutout display, surrounded by thin bezels. In terms of dimensions, the Galaxy A55 is anticipated to measure 161.1 x 77.3 / 77.9 x 8.2mm, and it has been depicted in a Black color variant.

Recent reports suggest a significant shift in the build of the Galaxy A55 and the A35, with both expected to feature a metal unibody design instead of the plastic bodies of their predecessors, lending them a more premium feel. Speculations are rife that the Galaxy A55 might be powered by an unannounced Exynos 1480 processor, which is said to support an AMD GPU. Additionally, the device's 3C certification hints at 25W fast charging support.

While the exact launch date remains unknown, the appearance of the Galaxy A55 in leaked renders and certification listings signals that its unveiling could be on the horizon.
