Samsung gears up to unveil a new Galaxy Z Fold 5 model

In July, the Korean tech behemoth Samsung unveiled its latest foldable innovations – the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Flip 5. These models are carving a significant niche for themselves in the foldable smartphone market, witnessing commendable sales figures. Yet, the firm is not resting on its laurels. Recent developments indicate Samsung's collaboration with the renowned fashion house, Thom Browne, resulting in a special edition of the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

This isn't Samsung's first dance with Thom Browne. The partnership, now official, was hinted at through a teaser video posted on the X platform. The visual, intriguingly featuring the iconic Thom Browne stripes on a cardboard silhouette of the Galaxy Z Fold, signifies the union of high fashion and cutting-edge technology. Past collaborations have seen the likes of Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 donning the Thom Browne aesthetic.

While the design elements intrigue many, as of now, there are no additional details concerning the device's specs or availability. However, it's plausible to assume that this special edition will mirror the technical specifications of its standard counterpart. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is known for its 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, boasting a 120Hz refresh rate. Its performance is spearheaded by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, complemented by 12GB RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB. Photographic capabilities include a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultrawide, a 10MP under-display front camera, and a 4MP cover camera. Powering all this is a 4400mAh battery, with both 25W wired and 15W wireless charging features.
