As the smartphone industry continues to innovate and evolve, Chinese brands are taking the lead in launching foldable phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. One of the first to roll out was the Vivo X Fold 2, introduced in China back in April. This trend looks set to continue with the expected August launches of the Oppo Find N3, the Honor Magic V2, and the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3, all boasting the same high-performance chipset.

An interesting feature to note across these models is wireless charging. Previous foldable models from Oppo, Honor, and Xiaomi did not have this facility, but this seems to be changing. Reports indicate that the upcoming Honor Magic V2 and the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will support wireless charging. Recently, a Chinese tech insider also hinted that the Find N3 is joining the wireless charging league.

The same informant shared further insights about the Find N3, revealing a design detail: a circular camera island akin to the Find X6 series. This leak corroborates an earlier schematic of the Find N3 showing a rounded camera module design.

Beyond the camera setup, the Find N3 is expected to impress in several departments such as design, display quality, and battery life. The insider emphasized its potential for exceptional photography. Leaked reports suggest that it may sport a 32-megapixel front camera, and either a 32-megapixel or 20-megapixel interior camera. The rear camera configuration could include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 32-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.

The Find N3's hardware specifications hint at a 6.5-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz external display and an 8-inch AMOLED 2K 120Hz internal screen. The device will likely feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage, and a 4,805mAh battery with support for 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.

There's also a buzz around OnePlus releasing a foldable phone in August for the global market, tentatively named OnePlus Fold. Speculations suggest this device may be a rebranded version of the Find N3, reserved for the Chinese market. If these rumors hold, the OnePlus Fold could support wireless charging and all the specifications attributed to the Find N3.
