Following a series of teases, Realme has officially announced the launch of the Realme C53 in India, as planned. The Indian variant of this device has some noticeable differences compared to the Realme C53 sold in Southeast Asia, which is recognized as the Realme Narzo N53 in India.

The Realme C53 for the Indian market introduces three main changes. It exhibits a revised design, an improved rear camera, and a reduced charging speed. Let's delve into all its features along with its price and availability.

The Realme C53 design borrows from the iPhone Pro models, flaunting flat sides and three distinct circular islands on the back for the cameras and an LED flashlight. These circular modules are situated directly on the rear panel rather than on a platform like its Southeast Asian counterpart.

This device is equipped with a 6.74-inch LCD screen, featuring a 1600 x 720 pixels (HD+) resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display hosts a dewdrop notch and has a 90.3% screen-to-body ratio, with support for up to a 180Hz touch sampling rate and 560 nits peak brightness level.

The smartphone operates on a Unisoc T612 chip and runs the Realme UI T Edition based on Android 13. This chipset works in tandem with LPDDR4x RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage.

For photography, the Realme C53 employs a 108MP primary sensor, a significant upgrade from the 50MP sensor in the Southeast Asian variant. However, it retains the secondary monochrome sensor and the 8MP front camera.

In terms of connectivity, it supports dual SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi, and Bluetooth 5.0. Additional features include a MicroSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.

To round off, the smartphone is energized by a 5,000mAh battery but comes with an 18W charging limit as opposed to the 33W charging feature of the other model.

The Realme C53 is priced as follows in India:

4GB + 128GB – ₹9,999 (~$120)
6GB + 64GB – ₹10,999 (~$135)
The smartphone is offered in Champion Gold or Champion Black color options. The purchase will commence at 12 PM IST on July 26. Furthermore, a special 'Early Bird Sale' is planned for the 6GB + 64GB variant.
