Foldable smartphones have become a trend in the tech industry, and several brands have jumped on board to release their own foldable devices. Over the past few years, the technology behind foldable screens has become more advanced, resulting in better durability, improved design, and overall enhanced user experience. Now, Vivo is seeking a new launch in the foldable market with the highly anticipated Vivo X Fold 2 smartphone. 

Vivo X Fold 2 launch timeline tipped 

Huang Tao, who is the Vice President of Products at Vivo, announced on the Chinese social media platform Weibo that the Vivo X Fold 2 will be unveiled at the Boao Forum 2023, expected to be held in April.

He also mentioned that some leaks and live images of the foldable smartphone may surface before it is officially launched in April. However, the exact release date of the Vivo X Fold 2 is yet to be disclosed.

As reported earlier by Digital Chat Station, a Chinese tipster, the upcoming Vivo X Fold 2 will be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, making it the first foldable smartphone to feature this new chipset, leaving the Samsung behind, expected to launch its next-gen Galaxy Z foldable smartphone series in August. 

Finally, the Vivo X Fold 2 is expected to feature a 4,800 mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging, along with a camera equipped with a Sony IMX866 sensor, OIS, and V2 ISP.
