Xiaomi approaches the final stages of Android 14 development

As the release of Android 14 looms near, various Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) are gearing up to unveil updated versions of their proprietary software. Xiaomi, a notable name in the tech industry, is also preparing to introduce its MIUI 15. With the date rumored to be set for August 14 or a bit later, insiders have noted that Xiaomi has been actively testing MIUI versions based on Android 14 in China.

In a recent development, MIUI builds integrated with Android 14 have surfaced on Xiaomi's global servers. These are specifically tailored for their Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Xiaomi 13T models. While the Android version has been updated to its latest iteration, it's worth noting that the MIUI version remains at 14. These discovered builds have been identified with the following labels:

Xiaomi 13: MIUI-V14.0.0.1.UMCMIXM
Xiaomi 13 Pro: MIUI-V14.0.0.1.UMBMIXM
Xiaomi 12T: MIUI-V14.0.0.1.ULQMIXM
These new MIUI versions are expected to be first introduced to Mi Pilot testers and, contingent upon their stability, will eventually be made available to the wider public. Moreover, these are not the only ones in the pipeline, as other regional builds are also anticipated to join the roster.

As excitement builds around these releases, the tech community eagerly awaits an official statement from Xiaomi. This will shed light on which devices are set to receive the Android 14 update and the timeline for its deployment. The hope remains that Xiaomi will expedite this year's update process compared to previous timelines.
