Xiaomi fans and tech enthusiasts have been eagerly anticipating the launch of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, and the recent confirmation by Xiaomi Group Partner and President Lu Weibing has further intensified the excitement. In a Weibo post, Lu Weibing revealed that the highly anticipated foldable phone is set to be unveiled in August.

He also hinted at notable improvements, stating that the Mix Fold 3 will boast a thinner and stronger design compared to its predecessor, the Mix Fold 2. With this announcement, Xiaomi enthusiasts can look forward to experiencing the advancements and innovations that the Mix Fold 3 has to offer.

What should we expect from Xiaomi Mix Fold 3?

According to recent reports, the upcoming Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is set to feature a 6.56-inch AMOLED cover display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Inside, it will house an 8.02-inch foldable AMOLED panel offering a Quad HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1912 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Notably, the inner screen is expected to include an in-display camera. The device will incorporate a new waterdrop hinge design for enhanced durability and drop resistance.

Additionally, rumors suggest that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 might come with an IP rating for water and dust resistance. On the camera front, it is speculated to sport a Leica-engineered quad-camera system on the rear, featuring a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 primary sensor, an ultra-wide lens, a telephoto camera with 3.2x optical zoom, and a periscope zoom camera with 10x optical zoom.

Powering the device will be a 4,800mAh battery with support for 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Performance-wise, it is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
