Xiaomi is gearing up for the imminent release of its Mix Fold 3 on August 14th. In anticipation of this launch, the company's CEO, Lei Jun, gave fans a sneak peek of the device through a video. In it, he unveils a novel time-lapse camera mode and the device's sophisticated leather back.

The video showcased the Mix Fold 3's sleek, lightweight design and its premium leather finish. Further elevating its camera capabilities, Lei Jun introduced the hover camera function, a user-friendly feature designed for capturing time-lapse videos. This teaser video also hinted at the impressive camera quality of the Mix Fold 3.

Diving into the device's specifications, the Mix Fold 3 boasts an 8.02-inch AMOLED display with 2k resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Rumors suggest that it will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, complemented by a 4,800mAh battery that supports 67W wired charging.

In a recent test conducted by Xiaomi, the Mix Fold 3, when turned on displaying a white screen, demonstrated a battery life of approximately 8 hours and 20 minutes. This duration is notably 52% longer than its predecessor. As for its photography arsenal, the phone will feature a 50MP primary camera, accompanied by a 5x periscope telephoto lens and a 3.2x portrait lens.
