After teasing the launch of a new smartwatch in the Watch Fit series, Huawei has finally unveiled the Huawei Watch Fit Special Edition for the global market. The watch comes with a sizable 1.64-inch AMOLED display, supports an Always-on Display (AOD), and includes a built-in GPS. With light usage, it can last for nine days and offers over 100 workout modes. Let’s delve into its specifications and pricing.

The Huawei Watch Fit Special Edition bears a resemblance to other wearables in the series, characterized by a rectangular dial. It is available in Starry Black, Nebula Pink, and Forest Green colors, accompanied by silicon straps. Weighing a mere 21 g, the smartwatch is not only lightweight but also slim, with a thickness of just 10.7 mm. Its 1.64-inch HD AMOLED display presents a 70% screen-to-body ratio and a resolution of 456×280 pixels, displaying 16.7 million colors at a density of 326PPI.

Users can personalize the watch face with any of their photos or select from over 10,000 pre-existing watch faces, which also support the AOD function. The Watch Fit Special Edition is integrated with HUAWEI TruSeen 5.0, an AI algorithm that enhances heart rate tracking round the clock, improving accuracy by 10%. Huawei also asserts that sleep tracking has been enhanced by 10%.

In terms of features, the Huawei Watch Fit Special Edition is equipped with over 100 workout modes and allows you to receive incoming call alerts and even reply to texts. On light usage, the battery life lasts for nine days and six days with typical usage. Huawei states that a 5-minute charge can power the watch for over a day.

The Huawei Watch Fit Special Edition is now available for purchase in Brazil, retailing at 499 Brazilian Real, equivalent to $104. It is expected to be introduced to other markets shortly.
