AMD announced RX 7900 series graphics cards, overtaking NVIDIA sharply!
AMD introduced the Radeon RX 7900 GPU series. RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT are the models that were introduced today. Let's check them out.
AMD has officially introduced the highly anticipated Radeon RX 7000 series. The new RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT graphics cards introduced are based on the company's RDNA 3 graphics architecture. The series, which are quite ambitious in terms of performance, also includes the world's first chiplet designed graphics cards. On the other hand, AMD states that a very high performance difference is achieved when compared to the RX 6000 series.

Both Radeon RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT use PCI-Express 4.0 interface, means that Gen 5 is not supported in this generation. Both cards have much less power consumption than the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080. In terms of comparison, the RX 7900 XTX provides a power consumption of 355W, while the GeForce RTX 4090 has TDP of 450W.
The RX 7900 is the first model to be based on the XTX Navi 31 graphics processor. The card comes out with 12288 cores with 20GB of GDDR6 memory. It also offers a total of 768 texture mapping units and 256 ROP units. There is also has 84 ray tracing accelerator on the card. It has 300W of TDP.
The RX 7900 XTX also comes with 24GB of GDDR6 memory and offers a 384bit memory bus. The game frequency speed of the card, which offers a total of 96 MB Infinity Cache, is 2300MHz. It also has 96 ray tracing accelerator, having TDP of 355W.
Radeon RX 7900 XTX and Radeon RX 7900 XT will be released on December 13. The launch date is valid not only for reference cards but also for customized designs from other manufacturers. Radeon RX 7900 XTX price is set at $999 while Radeon RX 7900 XT's will be $899.
