Hyundai IONIQ brand, which received awards in Japan and America this week, has now been crowned with 3 different awards by AUTOBEST, Europe's most famous automotive organization and jury. IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 models, which attract attention with their design, received full points from the jury of 31 automobile journalists with their superior handling features and price tags as well as being electric.

IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 continue to be praised by both customers and industry leaders in all markets where they are offered for sale, while increasing the power of the IONIQ brand, which Hyundai established exclusively for EVs. IONIQ 6 was selected as AUTOBEST ECOBEST 2023 (Electric Car of the Year), while IONIQ 5 finished first in AUTOBEST ECOBEST Challenge 2022 and won the title of Fastest Charging Electric Model. IONIQ 5 was also named 2022 Car of the Year by the world-famous men's magazine Esquire.

The AUTOBEST jury members, who awarded the IONIQ 6 the title of ECOBEST 2023, continue to set the pace of the trend for electric vehicles. While the ECOBEST award is given to the best EVs to hit the market next year, they also serve as a guide to users who are going to buy a new car. AUTOBEST jury members; It represents 31 European countries, including Turkey, and covers more than 750 million people in total. Okan Altan, who has more than 35 years of experience in automotive journalism, is the Turkey representative of the 31-member independent jury, all of whom are recognized as leading auto writers and experts.

The IONIQ 6, which will be produced with Hyundai's Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), offers a superior power unit (77.4 kWh) that provides both stress-free driving pleasure and performance. With the new generation battery technology developed by Hyundai, a consumption of 13.9 kWh is achieved per 100 kilometers. Hyundai's new electric IONIQ 6 travels 614 km on a single charge, playing the peak in BEV vehicles. In addition, the IONIQ 6 is one of the most efficient models with an ultra-low coefficient of friction of 0.21cd. 

AUTOBEST also determined the IONIQ 5 as the champion in the ECOBEST Challenge 2022, an independent real traffic test of mainstream EVs. In the 350kw DC fast charge test, where all vehicles charge their battery capacities from 20 percent to 80 percent, the IONIQ 5 achieved the fastest time.
