Hyundai managed to reach a market share of 4.6 percent by selling 518,566 units in Europe in 2022. 126 thousand of this number were EV models. With 21 percent of its sales being EV models, Hyundai as a group has sold more than 200 thousand fully electric (BEV) vehicles in Europe. Meanwhile, global sales of IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 reached 100,000 units.

Hyundai's 2022 global sales also reached 3.94 million units, up 1.4 percent year on year. In addition, market shares continued to grow, with record performances in Germany, Spain, Italy, France and the United Kingdom. Hyundai showed its most important rise in Spain and reached a record market share of 7.3 percent. This figure has come with 59,503 newly released Hyundai models. The UK market is also an important success for Hyundai. Hyundai sold a total of 80,419 units, taking a 5 percent market share. This sales figure goes down in history as the highest ever market share in the UK.
