Honor has recently launched its new MagicBook series, enhancing the laptop market with its latest technology. The series features the i5-13420H processor, a noteworthy advancement from its predecessor, the i5-13500H. The i5-13420H processor includes 4 large cores and 4 small cores, with a turbo frequency of 4.6GHz. While it has 4 fewer small cores and a slightly reduced L3 cache and frequency compared to the i5-13500H, resulting in a minor decrease in core display performance, the processor still boasts a core display of 48EU and a core display frequency of 1.4GHz.

The MagicBook prioritizes flexibility and performance, offering dual modes for users: smart and high-performance. This feature supports up to 45W in high-performance mode. In terms of heat management, the MagicBook excels with its efficient heat dissipation system. This system includes a large-sized high-performance fan, high-density S-shaped slim fan blade design, and dual heat-dissipation copper tubes, creating an impressive heat-dissipation area of 29,700 mm².

Additionally, the MagicBook's display is a highlight, featuring an IPS matte screen with a 16:10 ratio. The screen's brightness peaks at 300 nits and covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut. It also supports full-range DC dimming and incorporates Honor’s “natural light-like eye protection” technology. This technology is certified by Rheinland for low-level blue light and TUV Rheinland for flicker-free dual eye protection.

Other notable specifications of the MagicBook include a built-in 60Wh battery, a slim profile of 17.9mm thickness, and a weight of approximately 1.75kg. The device, powered by Honor OS Turbo technology, offers around 11 hours of local 1080P video playback time and 10 hours of daily office use. Moreover, the MagicBook supports 65W fast charging, adding to its convenience.

In terms of pricing, the Honor MagicBook X14/X16 with the Core i5-13420H processor is priced attractively at 3799 yuan ($532) and 3899 yuan ($546), making it a competitive option in the current laptop market.
