Once popular star Akon turns out to be lying about his identity
Akon used to be so popular with his hit songs but now he is on the agenda with something different.
Akon used to be one of the most popular rapper in early 2000s. Although he does not continue music so much he is on the agenda with something else. Famous singer revealed that he once lied about being an African prince.
Recently the famous singer talked to a popcast revealing more about himself. The musician, known for Smack That, explained why he told others he was a member of the African royal family on his podcast Drink Champs, explaining how his choices were "just because he wanted to be accepted".
Akon used to lie about his identity
“I used the excuse that I was a fighter because it made me feel better,” Akon explained. "But I had nothing to fight for. Because my family was actually very wealthy. I was living in [New] Jersey. Me and my brother lived alone in a three-story house. The whole house belonged to us! Now that I think about it, we'd be bored like crazy looking for something to do" he added.
In early 2000s and 2010s he was quite popular and made some worldwide hits that blows radio back then. There is no hit song from him anymore but fans still continue to listen his old songs.
