Huawei launched a massive 98-inch TV with super miniLED display

Huawei unveiled an array of new products at its recent fall event, notably introducing the Huawei Watch Ultimate Gold Edition. However, stealing the spotlight was their new flagship TV, the Huawei Smart Screen V5 Pro. This TV isn't just any regular offering; it's packed with top-tier features that come with a premium price tag.

The Smart Screen V5 Pro is available in two sizes: 98 inches and 85 inches. Both variants sport a Super MiniLED display, boasting a staggering 95% DCI-P3 color gamut, 1.07 billion colors, and an impressive 99% screen-to-body ratio. When it comes to brightness, the 98-inch version hits a peak of 2000 nits, outshining the 85-inch version which stands at 1600 nits. Additionally, the Smart Screen V5 Pro offers the Honghu image quality upscaling feature, enabling 1080P images to be swiftly upscaled to 4K.

Driving these features is the Honghu 900 chip. Huawei claims this chip enhances CPU performance by 200%, GPU performance by 160%, and NPU performance by 212% compared to the preceding Honghu 818 chip. In terms of memory and storage, the TV is equipped with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It also caters to modern connectivity needs, supporting interfaces like HDMI 2.1 and USB 3.0.

On the software side, the TV operates on the HarmonyOS 4 system. It provides various user-centric features including a photo wall, landscape window, smart sensing, child care, family connection, and super screen projection. A highlight of the Smart Screen V5 Pro is the Huawei Lingxi Pointing Remote Control. This innovative remote allows users to glide their fingers over its buttons to interact with TV content, eliminating the need to press them. It also introduces an air touch feature, enabling mobile games to be played on the TV with ease.

Sound quality hasn't been compromised either. The TV incorporates the Huawei Sound smart speakers system, providing a 3.1.2-channel sound system composed of a 30W double bass and two 10W sky channels. For a more immersive experience, users can couple it with the HUAWEI Sound X speaker, transforming their space into a 5.1.2-channel home theater.

If you're looking to purchase this technological marvel, the Huawei Smart Screen V5 Pro is priced at 24,999 yuan for the 85-inch model and 36,999 yuan for the 98-inch model. The products are set to hit the shelves in China on September 28th.
