According to insights shared by renowned leakster Digital Chat Station on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 will be an octa-core CPU processor, a departure from the usual CPU efficiency cores seen in Android smartphones. This unique CPU core structure comprises 1 ARM Cortex X4 Prime core, 3 ARM Cortex X4 cores, and 4 ARM Cortex A720 cores.

The CPU's peak clock speed is expected to exceed 3.25 GHz, as per the Weibo post. Under the hood, it will house the latest ARM Immortalis G720 MC12 GPU for mobile processors. Impressively, Digital Chat Station suggests that the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 outperforms the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in both CPU and GPU aspects, based on Antutu v10 benchmark scores. As for power efficiency, further details are expected to be disclosed at the official launch of MediaTek's flagship SoC later this month.

Notably, the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 will be manufactured using TSMC's advanced N4P process, boasting a 4 nm process node that promises improved performance and energy efficiency compared to N5 and N4 processes. The Cortex-X4 cores in the Dimensity 9300 are anticipated to offer a 15% performance boost and a 40% reduction in power consumption, while the Cortex-A720 cores are expected to achieve a 20% increase in energy efficiency.
