Sharp has recently introduced two new additions to its line of Quantum Dot smart TVs – the Sharp FQ8 and Sharp FQ5 series. Both series boast identical features, designed to enhance the viewing experience for consumers.

These new Sharp smart TVs present a sleek design with a full aluminum, slim, frameless build, complemented by a bracket stand. The highlight of these TVs is their 4K resolution displays, which come with a 120Hz native refresh rate, expandable to 144Hz, offering smooth and clear visuals. They utilize a VA panel with Direct LED backlighting, achieving a peak brightness between 450-500 nits. What makes these TVs stand out is their color accuracy, covering 92% of the DCI-P3 and 78% of the BT.2020 color space. Additionally, they are certified for multiple HDR formats, including Dolby Vision, Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10, and HLG, ensuring high-quality visuals across various content types.

Equipped with Google TV, the Sharp FQ8 and Sharp FQ5 series also offer advanced connectivity options with two HDMI 2.1 ports supporting High Frame Rate (HFR) and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR). The embedded AI system within these TVs enhances the viewing experience through the Aquos Motion smoothing system, which analyzes images frame by frame. The control over the AQUOS Motion system is in the hands of the users, allowing for a personalized viewing experience.

The audio capabilities of these TVs are equally impressive, featuring two 15W speakers and a subwoofer, along with Dolby Atmos certification. They support both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X audio formats and are compatible with AQUOS Wireless Surround by Sharp, offering an immersive audio experience.

Sharp plans to release these TVs in four sizes – 50-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch. While the pricing and market availability details remain undisclosed, these new series from Sharp are poised to offer a high-quality viewing and audio experience to a broad range of consumers.
