Xiaomi, the renowned electronics company, has made its much-anticipated Xiaomi Pad 6 tablet available in India. In addition to the tablet, the company has expanded its audio portfolio by launching the Redmi Buds 4 Active TWS earbuds in the same market. Let's take a closer look at the specifications, features, and pricing of these new earbuds.

With the latest iteration, the Redmi Buds 4 Active, the company has chosen to upgrade the drivers from the 10mm of its predecessor, the Redmi Buds 4, to 12mm. This enhancement leads to improved audio output. Interestingly, these earbuds do not offer the active noise cancellation found in the standard version.

In contrast to the standard version that includes active noise cancellation, normal, and transparent modes for ambient sound, the Redmi Buds 4 Active provides only environmental noise cancellation. The newer model also holds an IPX4 certification for water resistance, a step down from the IPX5 dust and water resistance rating found in the original Buds 4.

When it comes to design, the Redmi Buds 4 Active boasts larger earbuds and a more rounded charging case compared to its predecessor. The device promises an impressive total operational time of up to 30 hours when combined with the charging case. On their own, the earbuds can provide approximately 5 hours of playback on a single charge.

Another notable feature is the quick charging capability of the Redmi Buds 4 Active. With just a 10-minute charge, users can enjoy up to 90 minutes of listening time. The earbuds also support Bluetooth 5.3 and Google Fast Pair, ensuring smooth wireless connectivity. They are equipped with touch controls, which allow users to manage music playback, handle calls, and activate a low latency mode, among other functions.

The Redmi Buds 4 Active, weighing in at a total of 42 grams with the charging case, features a 440mAh battery in the case. The device comes in two color variants - Bass Black and Air White.

In terms of availability, the Redmi Buds 4 Active has been priced at Rs 1,399 in the Indian market. However, for a limited time, Xiaomi is offering an introductory price of Rs 1,199. The earbuds will be available for purchase from mi.com, Amazon.in, and Xiaomi's physical retail stores starting from June 20.
