Keychron, well-known for its innovative keyboards, including the distinctive split model, continues to emphasize customization in its products. This is showcased in the recently introduced Keychron K14 Pro mechanical keyboard, designed for individual personalization. The keyboard features vibrant RGB lights and a substantial 4,000mAh battery, promising a lifespan of three to five weeks between charges.

The K14 Pro utilizes a 70% layout, meaning it is more compact than a conventional full-size keyboard. This design choice makes it an appealing option for those seeking a more portable keyboard solution. The device comprises 72 keys, adorned with OSA height PBT double-color injection keycaps. Furthermore, the K14 Pro provides dual connection methods, catering to both wired and Bluetooth preferences.

Compatibility is a strong suit for the K14 Pro, as it integrates seamlessly with both MacOS and Windows operating systems. Additionally, it can connect to three devices simultaneously, with quick-switching between them achievable through shortcut keys. The keyboard also supports QMK / VIA open-source key programming, enabling users to tailor the keyboard's functions according to their preferences.

Keychron's keyboard also features proprietary K Pro switches, which are hot-swappable. This feature allows users to change the keyboard switches effortlessly without the need for soldering. The K14 Pro includes full-key no punching, implying that every key is fully operational. Ergonomically designed with a tripod supporting three-angle switching, the keyboard aims to minimize wrist strain and maximize typing comfort.

With a built-in 4,000mAh battery, the K14 Pro can run for three to five weeks before needing a recharge, which takes just six hours. Initially available in China for 418 yuan (approximately $57), the keyboard's global availability is yet to be announced.
