Xiaomi has recently introduced the Moaan InkPalm 5 Pro Mini e-reader Edition, marking their first e-reader venture for 2023. This new edition stands out with its enhanced processor speed and a notable feature is its comprehensive English language support coupled with an ample 64GB internal storage capacity.

Designed with aesthetics in mind, the InkPalm Mini 5 Pro exhibits a color palette of black bezels complemented by silver on its other parts. Its compactness stands out, as this mini e-reader conveniently fits into one's pocket. Highlighting its screen, it boasts a 5.2-inch E INK Carta HD e-paper display, showcasing a resolution of 1280 x 780 pixels and a sharpness of 284ppi. Moreover, this screen is safeguarded by a protective glass layer that is seamlessly aligned with the bezel. Ensuring optimal reading experiences, the device is equipped with 24 warm and cool LED lights, ideal for nighttime reading or during dimly lit conditions.

On the technical front, the InkPalm Mini 5 Pro Edition is powered by a quad-core 1.8GHz Quanzi processor. Accompanying this is 1GB of RAM, with connectivity options including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. An intriguing feature is its side volume buttons, which also serve the purpose of manual page-turning in certain reading applications. Operating on Android 8.1, this e-reader offers flexibility, allowing users to sideload apps either through the built-in browser or its USB-C port. Its endurance is also commendable, with a 1,300mAh battery ensuring up to 7 days of usage.

However, a point to note for international users is that some pre-installed apps on the e-reader do not support the English language. As a result, removing these Chinese applications might be essential upon purchase.
