At the end of September, Oppo introduced its latest offering, the Oppo A18, to the global market in the UAE. Just a week later, this device has now made its way to India.

The Oppo A18 positions itself as an entry-level 4G-only smartphone, essentially a more modest variant of the Oppo A58. They share not only the same design but also the same chipset.

However, the A18 distinguishes itself with a smaller display, a lower-megapixel camera, and slower charging support. Let's delve into the detailed specifications of this handset, along with its pricing for the Indian market.

The Oppo A18 boasts a plastic body, a common feature among budget smartphones. Its front hosts a 6.56-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels (HD+), a 90Hz refresh rate, 720 nits peak brightness, and a dewdrop notch.

Under the hood, it packs a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, paired with LPDDR4x RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. The device runs on ColorOS 13.1, based on the latest Android 13.

When it comes to photography, the A18 offers an 8MP primary sensor at the back, coupled with a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, nestled within the notch, you'll find a 5MP shooter.

In terms of connectivity and features, it comes equipped with a MicroSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a USB Type-C port. Connectivity options include dual SIM support, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, and GNSS.

Notably, the device carries an IP54 rating for splash resistance and relies on a robust 5,000mAh battery to keep it powered throughout the day.

In India, the Oppo A18 is available in a single configuration with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, priced at ₹9,999 (approximately $120). Consumers can choose between Glowing Black and Glowing Blue color variants.
