Honor 90 GT official promotions confirm Sony IMX906 camera and more

Hours before its official launch in China, Honor continues to tease the primary features of its upcoming smartphone. Just yesterday, the company revealed three color variants of the new device: GT Blue, Black, and Cream. Today, Honor confirmed several features through promotional posters. This new smartphone will be equipped with the Sony IMX906 50MP sensor, featuring both Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), similar to the technology used in the previously launched Honor 100.

The Honor 90 GT is set to feature a robust 5000 mAh battery, supported by 100W fast charging capabilities. It aims to surpass the Honor 80 GT with enhanced specifications and a refined design. In another teaser, Honor highlighted the inclusion of a C1 chip, aimed at improving the device’s connectivity. Another notable feature is the smartphone's dual-stereo speaker system, boasting super-loud volume capabilities. The device maintains a sleek profile, weighing 185g and measuring 7.9mm in thickness.

Additionally, the Honor 90 GT is expected to deliver a PC-level image experience and enhanced gaming performance. Leaks suggest that the phone will come with a flat OLED display, minimal bezels, and a punch-hole design. The display is expected to have a 1.5K resolution and 3840 PWM dimming, which should be soothing to the eyes due to the high PWM frequency. Under the hood, the Honor 90 GT is anticipated to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, coupled with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. This would mark it as the first smartphone to offer 24 GB of RAM. The expected storage variants are:

12GB + 256GB
16GB + 256GB
16GB + 512GB
24GB + 1TB

The base variant of the smartphone is expected to be priced around 3,500 yuan (490$).

Alongside the Honor 90 GT, the company is also set to introduce the Honor Pad 9. This device features a 12.1-inch paper-like display with a matte finish, supporting both a stylus and a keyboard. It is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor and could offer up to 12 GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
