Honor Magic Vs 2 officially introduced

Building upon its already stellar lineup of foldable phones with the Purse V and Magic V2 earlier this year, Honor introduced a new contender in the tech market - the Magic Vs 2. This device doesn’t only stand out for its advanced features but also as a device that builds upon its predecessor's legacy, providing a thinner and lighter alternative. Simultaneously, Honor also announced the Watch 4 Pro, further expanding their gadget lineup.

The Magic Vs 2 integrates beauty and functionality, being recognized as the slimmest foldable phone, boasting a mere 5.1mm thickness when expanded and 10.7mm when folded. Honor attributed this lightweight (229 grams) and sturdy design to the utilization of a rare earth magnesium alloy. Additionally, the side houses a fingerprint scanner embedded within the power button, ensuring easy and secure access. Furthermore, the incorporation of a titanium hinge mechanism amplifies the device’s durability.

Diving into the visual experience offered by the Magic Vs 2, the external display presents itself with a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel, complemented by a sharp resolution of 2,344 x 2,156 pixels and a peak brightness scaling up to 2,500 nits. In contrast, the internal display provides a larger 7.9-inch view with a resolution of 2,376 x 1,060 pixels, ensuring vibrancy and clarity on both screens with the assistance of a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate and HDR10+ support.

When it comes to capturing moments, the Magic Vs 2 does not disappoint. The triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP main, 12MP ultra-wide-angle, and a 20MP telephoto lens (with up to 40x digital zoom), ensures flexibility in photography. A 16MP front camera serves the selfie and video calling needs.

Underneath its sleek exterior, the Magic Vs 2 harbors robust performance capacities. It's fueled by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and offers configurations up to 16GB RAM and 512GB of storage. A 5,000mAh battery provides substantial power, while 66W fast charging ensures minimal downtime. The device runs on MagicOS 7.2, based on Android 13, and assures several connectivity options including 5G, USB-C port, WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC.

The Honor Magic Vs 2 is available in Glacier Blue, Velvet Black, and Coral Purple. The pricing begins at CNY 6,999 ($958) for the base model (12GB + 256GB), while the 16GB + 512GB variant is available for CNY 7,699 ($1,052).
