Honor is gearing up to unveil a new addition to its X50 series, named the X50 GT. A tip from Weibo user Wangzai jack-of-all-trades indicates that the phone will come in two distinct styles: a flat screen and a curved screen. Interestingly, the flat screen is suggested to be an online exclusive, while the curved screen will be sold offline.

Rumors surrounding the design of the Honor X50 GT have been abundant. Initial speculation from Digital Chat Station suggested that the phone would combine design elements from the X50 and Mate X5. However, Wangzai jack-of-all-trades provided a different perspective, comparing the new phone's design to the foldable Huawei Mate X3. Digital Chat Station later conceded and confirmed the similarity to the Mate X3.

Delving into potential specs, the Honor X50 GT seems poised to inherit features from its predecessor, the X50. This includes a 6.6-inch AMOLED display boasting 1.5K resolution, 1,200 nits brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will likely be powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip, with variations offering up to 16GB RAM and storage capacities of 128GB or 256GB. The camera suite is anticipated to include a 108MP primary sensor and an 8MP front shooter. The X50 was available in colors such as Elegant Black and Burning Orange and started at 1,399 yuan ($194) in China. The X50 GT, however, might introduce fresh color choices.

For comparison, the earlier Honor X40 GT was equipped with a Snapdragon 888 chip, a 6.81-inch LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 50MP primary camera, and a 4800mAh battery supporting 66W fast charging.

Furthermore, Honor's aspirations in the online market are evident as they're planning to release both the X50 GT and the Honor 100 GT soon. These devices aim to bring a premium design experience to a broader audience.
