Huawei has recently launched its ultra-premium branding, Ultimate Design, and unveiled its first-ever smartphone under this banner: the Huawei Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design. Drawing inspiration from the aesthetics of the previous year's Mate 50 RS Porsche Design, the new Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design showcases an aggressive yet elegant look. The centerpiece is an octagonal camera module, complemented by a ceramic body and an aluminum frame. The phone comes in two striking colors: Red and Black.

The front of the device boasts a 6.82-inch flat OLED LTPO display with three punch holes located at the top center for its front cameras. This screen offers a 2720 x 1260-pixel resolution, an adaptive refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. Impressively, the display can produce 1.07 billion rich colors, covering the entirety of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

Camera-wise, the Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design doesn't disappoint. Its rear setup is akin to the Mate 60 Pro+ with three powerful lenses. The 48-megapixel primary camera, which has an adjustable aperture ranging from F1.4 to F4.0, is accompanied by a 40-megapixel ultra-wide lens with an F2.2 aperture.

Additionally, there's a 48-megapixel ultra-macro telephoto lens with an F3.0 aperture, 3.5x optical zoom, and an impressive 100x digital zoom. All of these lenses benefit from optical image stabilization (OIS) and autofocus capabilities. The front houses a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 3D depth camera, supporting up to 4K video recording. The AIS anti-shake technology ensures steady video footage. This camera system boasts features such as super night scene mode, macro video options, and the ability to capture macro and telephoto shots simultaneously.

Powered by the Kirin 9000s chipset and running on the Hongmeng OS 4.0, this smartphone guarantees a seamless experience. It's fitted with a whopping 16GB RAM, ensuring you can multitask with ease. Storage won't be a problem either, with options of 512GB or a massive 1TB of internal memory. If that's not enough, it supports expansion by up to 256GB using an NM memory card. A powerful 5000mAh battery backs up these impressive specs, supporting up to 88W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 20W reverse wireless charging. The device is also packed with a variety of sensors and supports Tiantong satellite calls and Beidou satellite messages. On the connectivity front, the phone offers dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and other satellite navigation systems.

As for the price, there are two storage configurations available. The 16GB 512GB variant is priced at 11,999 yuan ($1,641), while the 16GB + 1TB model is available for 12,999 yuan ($1,778). The phone is open for pre-orders and will be officially available for purchase starting September 28.
