Huawei is gearing up for its autumn product launch event scheduled for September 25th. Anticipation surrounds this event, with the spotlight likely to focus on the Huawei Mate 60 series and the foldable Mate X5, both of which are already available for pre-order. Notably, Huawei will also unveil the MatePad Pro 13.2, marking the company's largest-ever tablet. However, there are hints that Huawei has more surprises in store for us.

According to a report from CNMO, Huawei is diligently working on its next-generation Nova series, tentatively named the Nova 12. The series could make its debut as early as October or November. This mid-range 5G smartphone is expected to be powered by the Kirin 830 processor, possibly incorporating some core innovations from the HiSilicon Kirin 9000S chip. Its pricing is likely to remain competitive, similar to its predecessor, the Nova 11.

Speculations suggest that the Nova 12 series might inherit some flagship-exclusive features, including satellite phone capabilities and enhanced imaging functionalities, though these enhancements could be reserved for the Nova 12 Pro variant.

The Nova 12 Pro, in particular, is rumored to feature a remarkable 50MP variable aperture ultra-sensitive imaging system, complemented by a 50MP telephoto lens supporting an impressive 100x zoom and a 12MP wide-angle macro dual-lens setup. It is said to house a substantial 4900mAh battery with support for rapid 100W charging and 50W reverse charging. Additionally, the device is expected to offer dual-mode Beidou satellite navigation.

In terms of pricing, it's rumored that the Nova 12 series will be attractively positioned. The 12GB+256GB version is speculated to be priced at 2799 yuan ($384), while the Nova 12 Pro series, featuring the same storage configuration, is expected to retail at 3799 yuan ($521).
