Redmi is gearing up for a major launch event on November 29 in China, where it is set to unveil several new products, including the Redmi Book 14 / 16 (2024), the Redmi Watch 4, and the Redmi Buds 5 Pro TWS earbuds. However, the highlight of the event is expected to be the Redmi K70 series, which comprises the K70, K70 Pro, and K70e models. A notable leaker from China has recently shared details about the camera specifications of these three devices.
The Redmi K70 is rumored to feature an OmniVision OV50e 50-megapixel primary camera, complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The K70 Pro is said to include the same 50-megapixel OV50e primary camera, alongside an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel OV50d telephoto camera, equipped with 2x optical zoom.
Leak of Redmi K70 series
As for the Redmi K70e, it is expected to boast a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. However, as with all leaks, these details should be taken with a degree of skepticism.
Regarding specifications, the Redmi K70e is anticipated to be powered by the Dimensity 8300-Ultra chipset and may offer up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of UFS storage. It's also expected to feature a 5,500mAh battery with 90W charging and a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
The K70 model is likely to arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging, and various storage configurations, including 16 GB RAM paired with 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of storage.
Meanwhile, the K70 Pro is rumored to include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a 5,120mAh battery with 120W fast charging, and storage options of 16 GB RAM + 256 GB, 16 GB RAM + 512 GB, or 24 GB RAM + 1 TB storage. Both the K70 and K70 Pro are expected to feature a 120Hz OLED display with 2K resolution.
The entire K70 series is set to run on HyperOS-based Android 14 and will be available in various colors including black, white, blue, and purple.
