As the expected January 17, 2024 launch date of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Series draws near, the tech world is buzzing with rumors and leaks. Notably, renowned leaker @IceUniverse on X.com has shared some intriguing details about the series, particularly the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This flagship model is rumored to feature a 5x telephoto lens with a 50 MP mode, enabling it to capture highly detailed photos with a resolution of 6120 x 8160 pixels.

Such advancements in the camera department would mark a significant improvement over the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which came equipped with a 10 MP 3x optical zoom lens and another 10 MP telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is poised to up the ante with a 200 MP primary sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera, and the aforementioned 50 MP Telephoto Lens with 5X optical zoom, along with a 12 MP sensor with 10x zoom.

Additionally, the 50MP telephoto lens of the Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to support 8K video recording with 5x optical zoom. Samsung is also rumored to introduce a new AI feature, dubbed the “object-aware engine,” to further enhance the device's capabilities.

Rumored specifications for the Galaxy S24 Ultra suggest a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x LTPO display with a brightness of 2600 nits and a 144 Hz refresh rate. Depending on the region, the smartphone might be available in Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Exynos 2400 variants. It could also offer RAM options of 8/12/16GB and storage choices of 256/512/1TB.

The device is expected to be powered by a 5000 mAh battery, supporting 45W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. Recent Geekbench listings for the Snapdragon variant of the Galaxy S24 Ultra showed impressive scores of 2117 in single-core and 6720 in multi-core tests. Additionally, high-resolution renders have suggested a flat-panel display, moving away from the curved design of previous models.

Samsung seems to be taking inspiration from its Galaxy Book 4, possibly integrating similar AI features into the Galaxy S24 Series, offering an enhanced user experience with cutting-edge technology.
