Poco C51 arrives with new options

The Poco C51, previously introduced in April as one of the brand's most affordable smartphones, is getting an upgrade in India. Initially, the model was released with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB storage capacity. Now, a newly launched variant offers enhanced specifications, boasting 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

Retailing at Rs 8,999 ($109), this variant has the added feature of 5 GB virtual RAM and is available in two color options: Power Black and Royal Blue. A noteworthy promotion for the device is a 10% discount with SBI Bank credit or debit card purchases, effectively reducing the price to Rs 8,099 ($98). The older 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage model remains available at its current price of Rs 6,499 (~$79). For those looking to make an online purchase, the smartphone is exclusive to Flipkart.

Diving into its technical details, the Poco C51 is designed as an entry-level device, equipped with a 6.52-inch LCD HD+ screen, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Photography enthusiasts can utilize its 5-megapixel front-facing camera and an 8-megapixel dual rear camera accompanied by an LED flash. Its leather-textured back panel discreetly houses a fingerprint scanner.

 On the software front, the device runs on Android 13 (Go edition) and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. Internally, the smartphone operates on a MediaTek Helio G36 chipset, LPDDR4x RAM, and eMMC storage. Additional features worth mentioning include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a microUSB port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
