Anticipation is mounting for the launch of the Realme V50 and V50s, slated for December, though official details on features and pricing remain under wraps.

Realme V50 series expected in December

Realme is set to unveil its latest flagship, the Realme GT 5 Pro, by the end of this month in China, featuring the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. Following this, December will see the announcement of the Realme V50 series, aimed at the entry-level 5G smartphone market in the country. The unannounced Realme V50 and Realme V50s have been listed on China Telecom's website, revealing that both models are expected to be available for sale by December 10.

Previously, Realme phones with model numbers RMX3783 and RMX3781 were spotted on China’s TENAA certification platform. The China Telecom listings have now confirmed these models as the Realme V50 and Realme V50s. These new additions to the Realme lineup share similar specifications and design with the Realme 11x 5G available in India, differing mainly in the camera department. The Indian version boasts a 64-megapixel primary camera, whereas the V50 series features a slightly different setup.

The Realme V50 is equipped with a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel auxiliary camera, complemented by an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It sports a 6.72-inch LCD panel with FHD+ resolution and a purported 120Hz refresh rate. Powered by the Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset, the V50 offers configurations up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It also includes a 5,000mAh battery, which presumably supports 18W charging, a side-facing fingerprint scanner, and runs on Android 13 with Realme UI.

The V50 will be available in Midnight Black and Dawn Purple, with various configurations priced at 1,199 Yuan (165$) for 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 1,399 Yuan (195$) for 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, and 1,799 Yuan (250$) for 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. The Realme V50s mirrors these specifications, variants, and pricing. However, how Realme intends to differentiate between the V50 and V50s models remains to be seen.
