Redmi's upcoming flagship, the K60 Ultra, is the anticipated successor to the K50 Ultra from the previous year. While it's tailored for the Chinese market, it is speculated that a global version with minor modifications might be released as the Xiaomi 13T Pro, mirroring the strategy seen with its predecessor.

The K60 Ultra's unveiling is scheduled for 7 pm on August 14 in China, and it's expected to be live-streamed on Weibo among other platforms in the country. Alongside the phone, Xiaomi is also expected to introduce other products, like the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, Xiaomi Pad 6 Max tablet, and the Xiaomi Band 8 Pro.

In terms of aesthetics, the K60 Ultra will be available in cyan and black, featuring a flat front display with a centrally situated punch hole, slender bezels, and an under-screen fingerprint scanner. The backside houses a black camera module that stands out from the glass back. Notably, this will be Redmi's inaugural device to boast an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. There's also a hint of a special white edition in the pipeline.

Moving to the technical aspects, the device boasts a 6.67-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution, a rapid 144Hz refresh rate, a P3 color spectrum, and an impressive 2,600 nits brightness level. The PixelWorks X7 display chip will power the screen, ensuring an enhanced visual experience. While there's currently no word on the front camera, the rear will sport an OIS-supported 50-megapixel Sony IMX800 camera capable of 8K video recording. Other camera specifics remain under wraps. Under the hood, the phone will be driven by the Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset. The top-tier model is confirmed to pack 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and a whopping 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It's preloaded with Android 13, covered by MIUI 14. Although battery specifics haven't been shared, 120W fast charging is anticipated. The phone is also believed to offer dual SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 6e, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, an IR blaster, a USB-C port, and stereo speakers. The pricing remains speculative, but it's believed to start at around 3,000 Yuan (approx. $414).
