Xiaomi is set to roll out its new HyperOS update, and the Redmi Note 12 4G model is slated to be among the first to receive it. GSMChina recently confirmed the arrival of the HyperOS test build for the Redmi Note 12 4G/4G NFC model, marking a significant update in Xiaomi's software offerings.
The internal HyperOS builds for the Redmi Note 12 4G/4G NFC model, identified as firmware versions OS126.96.36.199.UMTMIXM and OS188.8.131.52.UMGMIXM, have been added to Xiaomi Inc.’s internal test server. This development indicates that the Redmi Note 12 models are soon to receive the Operating System 1.0 update. This update is noteworthy as it will be the first major Android update for the smartphone since its launch, potentially making it the first Redmi device to receive the new OS globally. HyperOS is expected to be based on Android 14.

The rollout of this update is anticipated to begin in mid-December, starting with the HyperOS Pilot Testers. For users eager to get the update early, there is an opportunity to apply for the HyperOS Pilot Tester program. Users with Xiaomi or Redmi smartphones running an Indian ROM can use a specific link for the application.
