Redmi's awaited new smartphone model, Note 13 Pro+, showed up during the certification process.

Redmi Note 13 Pro+ made its appearance

Last month, Xiaomi's sub-brand, Redmi, introduced the Note 13 Pro+ smartphone in China. Following its launch, there is growing anticipation for the device's release in global markets. Recent sightings on the IMDA certification suggested this progression, and now, the smartphone has been identified on India's Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. This new listing signals that a launch outside of China is on the horizon, though specific details about its release date remain under wraps.

The BIS certification has identified the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ under the model number 23090RA98I. Interestingly, this particular model number appears to designate the Indian market, given its ending 'I'. For comparison, the same device was found on the IMDA certification with a 'G' at the end of its model number, while the variant for the Chinese market uses a 'C' instead. However, the BIS listing did not provide any additional insights regarding the smartphone's specifications or features.

Redmi Note 13 Pro+ made its appearance

Earlier this year, India saw the debut of the Redmi Note 12 Pro+. Given this precedent, it is plausible to expect the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ to follow suit and be released around the same timeframe in the upcoming year. Along with the Pro+ variant, the standard Note 13 5G also received its BIS certification recently.

In China, the Redmi Note 13 Pro series garnered immense popularity, with over 410,000 units sold within the first hour of its release. The Pro+ model, in particular, stands out with its numerous enhancements over its predecessor. It boasts a curved AMOLED display featuring a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the device achieves a peak brightness of 1,800 nits and comes with an embedded fingerprint scanner. It is also designed to be dust and water-resistant with an IP68 certification. As for its camera setup, the smartphone is equipped with a 200MP primary sensor, complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Powering the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is a Dimensity 7200 Ultra SoC, and it offers configurations with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. To support its operations, the device incorporates a 5,000 mAh battery, which benefits from 120W fast charging capabilities.
