In a strategic move aimed at capturing a significant share of the affordable smartphone market, Samsung has recently unveiled two new additions to its Galaxy lineup – the Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s smartphones. These quietly introduced devices are set to make their mark in Malaysia, offering consumers an attractive blend of features, performance, and affordability. As Samsung adapts to the dynamic smartphone landscape, these new releases represent the company's commitment to delivering value-packed options in a competitive market segment.

The Galaxy A05 boasts a 6.7-inch PLS LCD display with HD+ resolution, powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, and offers a generous 6GB of RAM coupled with 128GB of internal storage. Notably, it includes a MicroSD card slot and dual-SIM capabilities. In the camera department, it features a dual-rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor, along with an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

The device is capable of recording 1080p video at 60 frames per second and is equipped with a substantial 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. Unfortunately, it lacks a fingerprint sensor.

On the other hand, the Galaxy A05s offers slightly improved specifications. It features a 6.7-inch PLS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, it also offers 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. In the camera department, the Galaxy A05s sports a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro lens, while the front camera is a 13MP sensor for selfies.

Both devices share a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging capabilities. Notably, the Galaxy A05s includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security. Connectivity options encompass 4G LTE, GPS, Bluetooth 5.3, USB 2.0 Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. These smartphones are available in three color options: Black, Light Green, and Silver, with pricing and availability details yet to be disclosed.
