The tech world is abuzz with anticipation for the upcoming Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. As has been the case in previous years, Google seems to have struggled to keep the intricacies of the Pixel 8 series under wraps. Not only are there leaks emerging from outside the company, but internal sources also appear to be responsible for some of these revelations. A prominent disclosure comes from a user named @Za_Raczke on X.com, who showcased an official promo material for the Pixel 8 series. This material drew a comparison between the imminent lineup and its predecessor.

From this material, it was discerned that the Pixel 8, boasting 8GB of RAM, will carry a price tag of $699. On the other hand, the more robust Pixel 8 Pro, featuring 12GB of RAM, is marked at $899. These price points, intriguingly, mirror those of the Pixel 7 series, but it's worth noting that these are just for the base storage models. Undoubtedly, the Pixel 8 Pro's variants with more storage will have heftier prices.

As for the specifications and features of these models, they are expected to be driven by the Google Tensor G3 chip and will tout heightened security measures such as VPN by Google One, FaceUnlock, and Fingerprint Unlock. Their software offerings are likely to accentuate the photography domain, incorporating tools like Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, Face Unblur, Night Light, and Real Tone, among others.

Digging deeper into the camera specs, the Pixel 8 will be equipped with a dual-rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultrawide lens. Meanwhile, the Pixel 8 Pro will feature a 50MP primary sensor, a 48MP ultrawide camera with Macro Focus, and a 48MP telephoto lens bolstered by 5x optical zoom. Both models will be fronted by a 10.8MP camera.

In terms of display, the Pixel 8 is projected to support a refresh rate ranging between 60-120Hz. The Pro model, however, is expected to elevate the user experience with a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate. A noteworthy element of these devices will be the new Tensor G3 chip, which promises to harness untapped potential through its novel cores and GPU. Moreover, the incorporation of larger batteries with swift charging capabilities promises to cater to practical needs effectively.

All speculations are set to be put to rest with the official unveiling slated for October 4, with sales kicking off on October 12.
