One notable enhancement is the incorporation of Fitbit's multi-path heart-rate sensor, designed to provide precise readings even during intense physical activity. In addition, the smartwatch will possess a skin temperature sensor and an electrodermal activity function, commonly referred to as cEDA. Leveraging Fitbit's stress management system, the Pixel Watch 2 is designed to identify and respond to the user's stress levels, prompting them to record their current emotional state and offering suggestions. Furthermore, the watch will also monitor one's pace during activities.

Safety remains paramount for Google, as the Pixel Watch 2 is set to introduce advanced safety mechanisms. The promotional video emphasizes a Safety Check feature, designed to ascertain the user's well-being. Failure to respond triggers an alert to the user's emergency contacts, sharing their current location. Additionally, an Emergency Sharing function will also provide the user's whereabouts to trusted contacts when necessary. As for battery life, the Pixel Watch 2 promises a day's usage even with the Always-On Display (AOD) activated. Completing the package, the device will be available with metal slim and active sport band options.
