It looks like Turkish president Tayyip Erdogan has some ideas on it. Tayyip Erdogan, the president of Turkey, stated that he may negotiate with Elon Musk, the new CEO of Twitter, to avoid paying the $8 per month fee for the "verified" badge.

Musk stated that the company would charge $8 per month for its Blue service, which includes the coveted blue check mark, after purchasing Twitter for $44 billion last week. Erdogan indicated in an interview with Turkish television station ATV on Wednesday that he might talk about the charge with Musk.
