The control features implemented with the Family Center allow parents to obtain detailed information about who has been complained and what type of complaint they have when their children report a post or account. These features also allow parents to limit their children's daily and weekly Instagram usage to the hours they want. Along with the Family Hub, Instagram also offers an Education Center where parents can access expert resources and review helpful articles, videos, and tips on topics like how to talk to their kids about social media. Parents can also access video tutorials on how to use the new control tools on Instagram from the Education Center.

Instagram also recently announced that a new age verification method for teens under 18 is available starting today. With this feature, when a user wants to change their age from under 18 to over 18, they will be presented with two different age verification options.
